QleanAir wins its first major order from the school sector in Germany
QleanAir Holding AB (publ), the premium provider of solutions for clean indoor air, announces its first major order from the school sector in Germany. The order for HEPA-14 air cleaning units, worth approximately 500 TEUR, is intended for a school district in Rhein-Main-Gebiet.
The order for FS 30 HEPA and FS 70 HEPA of 500 TEUR is one of the largest in the history of QleanAir within the Facility Solutions segment. The units will be installed in schools in Rhein-Main-Gebiet starting in January 2021.
In five German regions, the local government is funding investments in air quality in schools, to keep them open and safe during the corona pandemic. In this case air cleaning is funded for classrooms without windows or with windows that cannot be opened. Air cleaning with HEPA 14 filters reduces the concentration of virus, bacteria, and other pollutants in the air, and is recommended as a complement to substandard ventilation by for example Technische Universität in Berlin.
– The corona pandemic has raised the awareness of the importance of indoor air quality in Germany, and it has highlighted a need to improve the air quality in many schools. At QleanAir in Germany we are honored to contribute to keeping the schools safe and open, says Tobias Willi, Managing Director of QleanAir GmbH.
Both FS 70 HEPA and FS 30 HEPA were launched during 2020, and are designed to reduce the levels of virus, bacteria, and other hazardous particles in the air. The units are designed for environments with high demands on efficient air cleaning and low sound levels, like care facilities, schools, and offices.
