Safer indoor environments start with the air
Viruses and bacteria can be encapsulated in droplets spread when we sneeze or cough, and in aerosols spread when we breathe, talk, or sing. Droplets quickly fall to the ground, while aerosols can linger in the air for several hours. Coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, as well as bacteria such as listeria, salmonella, campylobacter, and E. coli, can be transmitted and spread through the air. Protect employees, products, and the work environment with QleanAir’s air purifiers. Our effective air purifiers for viruses and bacteria reduce the spread of infection and create a healthy workplace.

Challenges
Why are viruses and bacteria in the air a problem?
Health risks and spread of infection
High concentrations of airborne viruses used to be a concern primarily for hospital infectious disease units. That was before the COVID-19 pandemic. This is now an issue affecting all indoor environments that we share with others and where we spend extended periods of time. The closer we get to one another and the smaller the space, the greater the risk of contamination. Healthcare and care services, dining halls, changing rooms, control rooms, schools, preschools, offices, gyms, and restaurants are all areas affected by the challenges of virus transmission.
Sick leave due to common colds costs Swedish society billions every year. Breathing in viruses can make staff ill and lead to reduced productivity.
Production and product quality under threat
In the food industry, there is a constant struggle to control levels of viruses, bacteria, mold, and other airborne particles. Whether you produce meat products, cheese, or bread, various microbes threaten product quality and shelf life. A single outbreak on a production line can lead to extensive problems, increased costs, and the risk of product recalls, which in turn damages both the brand and customer trust.
Benefits
Effective air purification against viruses and bacteria
Virus-killing air purifiers
QleanAir’s air purifiers use multi-stage mechanical filtration to effectively capture even the smallest particles, such as viruses and bacteria. We have a long history of helping the infection control department at Danderyd Hospital with a built-in air cleaning solution. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we equipped our FS 70 standalone air purifiers with certified HEPA 14 filters to protect staff in the intensive care unit at Karolinska University Hospital. In close collaboration with Karolinska, we also developed an easily positioned product for smaller rooms, the FS 35 high protection HEPA. Third-party testing has shown that both products achieve a filtration system efficiency of at least 99.995 percent.
These solutions can dramatically reduce the concentration of viruses and bacteria in the air and lower the risk of infection. We also help several food manufacturers improve air quality with our standalone air purifiers, for example in baking, cheesemaking, and the production of fresh organic delicacies. The FS 70 FG HEPA is one of the products developed specifically for the food and beverage industry.
